“It’s where we are that makes the difference,” enthuse the winegrowers of Matakana, less than an hour’s drive north of Auckland. With its lovely hills, fields and vineyards, the district has been compared to Tuscany. After a couple of days visiting the wine producers in the area, I came away with two main impressions.
