    At $125, Destiny Bay Destinae is one of New Zealand’s most expensive reds. That’s the cost of a single bottle in a fine-wine shop, but if you’re prepared to order a half-case directly from this Waiheke Island producer and pay a year in advance of delivery, the price per bottle drops to $60. Mike and Ann Spratt planted the first vines on their steep north-facing (up to 38 degrees) slope in 2000.
